Even though they're already 45 minutes behind schedule, the lateness crowd will stop for a coffee and breakfast sammie because why not? I live on the opposite end of the lateness spectrum, where I arrive too early and stand around looking like a lost puppy. There is such a thing as being too fixated on time, and not being fixated on the clock enough. The perfect balance is easy to attain once you realize that compromises must be made for the sake of being on time to work, school, or any event that requires a “time is of the essence” attitude.
